Kane Brown has consistently shown his support for underprivileged and at-risk youth by being involved with organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America since the beginning of his career as a popular country artist. This dedication to helping those in need has earned him a significant award.
The country music industry is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their dedication to supporting children and their focus on other charitable activities.
Brown has been selected to receive the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given each year to artists who prioritize making charitable contributions a significant aspect of their professional endeavors.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, an event happening on February 29 in Nashville as a part of the Country Radio Seminar for this year.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to offer a supportive community and opportunities to children, particularly those from less privileged backgrounds. Brown, who faced homelessness, racism, and abuse in his own childhood, expressed a desire for the safe and inclusive environment that the organization strives to create for young people.
Aside from donating money, such as funding the remodeling of a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also given children chances to experience special events. He gave tickets and backstage passes to 16 children and 4 adults from a local organization, treating them to dinner and sharing his personal story. Additionally, he has been involved in revitalizing a local chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer's contributions to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been recognized in previous years. In 2022, he was honored as the organization's "Champion of Youth" for his efforts.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include artists such as Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill, among others. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award last year.
