During a recent episode of her talk show, the Kelly Clarkson Show, Kelly Clarkson shared that she was told she had pre-diabetes before deciding to lose weight. However, she did not start her weight loss journey right away.
During a conversation with Kevin James on her show, Kelly Clarkson revealed that she was informed she was pre-diabetic. She admitted that she wasn't surprised by the news, as she acknowledged being slightly overweight.
"They told me that I was at risk for developing diabetes, but I didn't take it seriously at first," she said jokingly. "After two years, I finally decided to take action."
Recently, Clarkson discussed how she lost weight by following her doctor's advice. She also mentioned that moving to New York City helped her develop better habits for both her mental and physical health.
She expressed that she was feeling very dissatisfied with her life in Los Angeles for a few years and was looking for a new beginning.
Clarkson moved her two children to the West Coast because they were also not doing well there. The family likes to stay active by taking advantage of the city's walkability and bringing their dogs to the park.
She credits her weight loss to her eating habits, mentioning that she consumes a balanced diet. She tries to stick to it 90% of the time because she finds that a high-protein diet works well for her.
As a Texan, Clarkson humorously mentioned her love for meat and playfully apologized to any vegetarians out there.
The singer made a decision to move to New York and also relocate her TV show after her divorce from Brandon Blackstock was finalized in early 2022.
