Kelly Clarkson’s Health Journey: From Pre-Diabetic Diagnosis to Weight Loss Success

During an episode of her talk show, Kelly Clarkson shared that she was told she was at risk for developing diabetes before she lost weight. This diagnosis motivated her to make changes, although she did not start losing weight right away.

Clarkson mentioned to her guest, Kevin James, that she had been informed she was at risk for developing diabetes due to her weight. She wasn't surprised by the news, as she acknowledged she was slightly overweight.

"They told me that I was pre-diabetic, just on the edge of being diabetic. I didn't take it seriously at first, but eventually after two years I decided to take action."

In a recent interview, Clarkson shared that she lost weight by following her doctor's advice and adopting healthier habits after moving to New York City.

"At that moment, she expressed her discontent with Los Angeles, where she had been feeling unhappy for many years. She felt the need for a new beginning."

Clarkson moved her two children to the West Coast because they were also not thriving there. The family likes to stay active by walking around the city and bringing their dogs to the park.

She credits her weight loss to her diet, stating that she eats a balanced mix of foods and follows a protein-rich diet most of the time because it benefits her health.

Clarkson joked that she prefers meat as she is from Texas, apologizing to vegetarians around the world.

The singer made a decision to move, which also involved moving her TV show to New York, following her divorce from Brandon Blackstock, which was completed in early 2022.
