Jennifer Nettles, who hosts the Fox show, acknowledges that this season the female contestants are more emotionally charged, energetic, and quick to react, which may result in some dramatic moments on the farm.

The upcoming season of Farmer Wants a Wife will showcase four farmers from different parts of the United States who are searching for their soulmates.

However, the unique aspect of this situation is that every farmer will choose five women from a group of 29 to live with them on their farm. This experience will allow the women to get a complete understanding of the responsibilities and lifestyle of being a farmer's wife.

Get to know the farmers featured in Season 2 of Farmer Wants a Wife:

Ty Ferrell, 42, likes to refer to himself as a cowboy rather than a farmer because he works as a team roper. He owns a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, where he raises horses and cattle. Roping and riding have always been a part of his life, starting from his childhood. Ferrell, who is one of the older farmers on the show, is a divorced father with a 12-year-old daughter. He is searching for a partner who can not only be a companion to him but also a good mother to his child.

At just 27 years old, Mitchell Kolinsky is a first-generation farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. His large property is filled with wildlife and includes a 19th-century cabin where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky's upbringing around horses and his love for the outdoors inspired him to pursue a career in farming. He currently owns a farm of his own that is home to both horses and cattle.

Brandon Rogers, who is 29 years old, manages a farm in Center, Colorado that spans 1,000 acres and grows potatoes and barley. The town he resides in is very small, with just one traffic light, and is surrounded by agricultural land. He comes from a family of farmers, with his father being the first generation, and he spent his youth assisting his father on the farm. Rogers is dedicated to carrying on the family tradition and hopes to uphold the legacy that his father began.

Nathan Smothers, a 23-year-old farmer from Bartow, Florida, comes from a long line of farmers with a strong connection to the land. He is a fourth-generation citrus and cattle farmer, managing a sizable property that includes 300 acres of farmland and 500 acres dedicated to cattle. Despite his youth, Smothers demonstrates wisdom and responsibility beyond his years, having taken on a significant role in caring for his family after the loss of his father when he was just 12 years old.

The second season of Farmer Wants a Wife will debut on Thursday, February 1st, at 9PM Eastern Time on Fox.
