According to Jennifer Nettles, the host of the Fox show, she acknowledges that this season the women are showing more emotions, energy, and reacting strongly, which may result in some intense moments on the farm.
The second season of Farmer Wants a Wife will showcase four farmers from different parts of the United States who are searching for their soulmates.
The unique aspect of this situation is that every farmer will choose five women from a group of 29 to live with them on their farm. This experience will give the women a comprehensive understanding of the duties and responsibilities of being a farmer's wife.
Get to know the farmers featured on the second season of Farmer Wants a Wife:
Ty Ferrell, aged 42, prefers to refer to himself as a cowboy rather than a farmer because his main role is as a team roper. He manages a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, where he raises horses and cattle. Ty has a deep connection to roping and riding, having been involved in the activities since he was a young child. As one of the older farmers on the show, Ty is a divorced father with a 12-year-old daughter. He is searching for a partner who can not only be his companion but also a caring mother figure for his child.
Mitchell Kolinsky, a 27-year-old farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, is the first in his family to pursue farming. His large property is home to abundant wildlife and a historic cabin from the 19th century, where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky's upbringing around horses and his love for the outdoors inspired him to start a farming career. He currently runs his own farm with both horses and cattle.
Brandon Rogers, 29 years old, runs a large farm in Center, Colorado that grows potatoes and barley on 1,000 acres of land. The town he resides in is very small with only one traffic light and is surrounded by farmland. Growing up, Brandon worked on the farm with his father who was also a farmer. Brandon is now a second generation farmer and is dedicated to carrying on the family business and continuing the legacy that his father started.
At just 23 years old, Nathan Smothers comes from a long line of farmers and is a fourth-generation citrus and cattle farmer in Bartow, Florida. His vast property includes 300 acres of farmland and over 500 acres dedicated to cattle. Despite his young age, Smothers has had to mature quickly after the loss of his father at 12, taking on responsibilities to support his mother and three sisters.
The second season of the show "Farmer Wants a Wife" will debut on Thursday, February 1st at 9PM Eastern Time on the Fox network.
