Jennifer Nettles, who is the host of the Fox show, acknowledges that this season, the female contestants are displaying more emotions, energy, and quick reactions, which may result in some intense moments on the farm.
The upcoming season of Farmer Wants a Wife will showcase four farmers based in different parts of the United States, all searching for their life partners.
However, there is a unique element to this situation where each farmer will choose five women from a group of 29 to live with them on their farm. This experience will allow the women to fully understand the responsibilities and lifestyle of being a farmer's wife.
Introducing the farmers featured on Season 2 of Farmer Wants a Wife:
Ty Ferrell, aged 42, considers himself more of a cowboy than a farmer as he is a skilled team roper. He oversees a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, where he raises horses and cattle. Ty has a long history of roping and riding, starting from his childhood. Despite being one of the older farmers on the show, he is a divorced father with a 12-year-old daughter. Ty is seeking a partner who can not only be his companion but also a caring mother figure for his child.
Mitchell Kolinsky, a 27-year-old farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, is the first in his family to work in agriculture. His large property is home to various animals and an old cabin from the 1800s, where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky's upbringing around horses and nature inspired him to pursue a farming career. He now manages his own farm with horses and cattle.
Brandon Rogers, who is 29 years old, manages a large farm that grows potatoes and barley in Center, Colorado. The town he resides in is very small with only one traffic light and is surrounded by fields. He comes from a long line of farmers and grew up helping his father on the farm. Rogers is committed to running the family business and carrying on the tradition that his father started.
At 23 years old, Nathan Smothers comes from a long line of farmers and is a fourth-generation citrus and cattle farmer in Bartow, Florida. His extensive property includes 300 acres of farmland and over 500 acres of land for his cattle. Despite his young age, Smothers is mature and responsible, having taken on the role of helping support his mother and three sisters after his father passed away when he was just 12 years old.
The second season of Farmer Wants a Wife will debut on Fox on Thursday, February 1st at 9PM ET.
