Get to know the farmers featured on the second season of Farmer Wants a Wife:
Ty Ferrell, 42, describes himself as a cowboy rather than a farmer as he is a team roper. He runs a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, where he raises horses and cattle. Ferrell has been involved in roping and riding since childhood. As one of the older farmers on the show, he is a divorced father with a 12-year-old daughter. He is seeking a partner who can not only be his companion but also a caring mother to his child.
At 27 years old, Mitchell Kolinsky is a first-time farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. His large piece of land is home to many animals and an old cabin from the 1800s, where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky was raised around horses and enjoyed spending time outdoors, which inspired him to pursue a farming career. Today, he is the proud owner of a farm that includes both horses and cattle.
Brandon Rogers, who is 29 years old, manages a large farm in Center, Colorado, where he grows potatoes and barley on a 1,000-acre property. The town he resides in is very small, with only one traffic light, and is surrounded by agricultural land. Coming from a family of farmers, Rogers has been working on the farm since he was a child, alongside his father. He plans to carry on the family tradition and hopes to build upon the legacy that his father started.
Nathan Smothers, a 23-year-old, comes from a long line of farmers and is a fourth-generation citrus and cattle farmer in Bartow, Florida. He owns a large property with 300 acres of farmland and 500 acres dedicated to cattle. Despite his young age, Smothers is mature and responsible due to having to take care of his mom and three sisters after his father passed away when he was 12.
The second season of Farmer Wants a Wife will debut on Fox on Thursday, Feb. 1st at 9PM ET.
