In the upcoming season of Farmer Wants a Wife, viewers will meet Ty Ferrell, a 42-year-old farmer who prefers to be called a cowboy due to his job as a team roper. He runs a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Mo., where he raises horses and cattle. Ty has been involved in roping and riding since he was a young boy and it is a passion that runs deep in his family. As one of the older farmers on the show, Ty is a divorced dad to a 12-year-old daughter and is hoping to find a partner who can not only be his companion but also a positive influence in his daughter's life.
27-year-old Mitchell Kolinsky is a farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, who comes from a family of farmers. His farm is located on a large piece of land that has abundant wildlife and an old cabin from the 1800s, where he resides with his three dogs. Growing up, Kolinsky was around horses and spent much of his time outdoors, which inspired him to pursue a farming career. Today, he owns a farm of his own, where he raises horses and cattle.
Brandon Rogers, who is 29 years old, runs a farm that covers 1,000 acres in Center, Colorado. The town he resides in is very small, with just one traffic light, and is surrounded by agricultural land. Coming from a family of farmers, Rogers grew up helping his father on the farm. He is now carrying on the family business and aims to uphold the legacy that his father began.
Nathan Smothers, who is 23 years old, comes from a long line of farmers and has a strong connection to farming. He is a fourth-generation citrus and cattle farmer from Bartow, Florida. His property is extensive, with 300 acres of farmland and over 500 acres dedicated to cattle. Despite being the youngest farmer on the show, Smothers shows maturity beyond his age. He had to take on responsibilities at a young age after his father passed away when he was 12, stepping up to help care for his mother and three sisters.
The second season of Farmer Wants a Wife will debut on Fox on Thursday, February 1st at 9PM ET.
