Jennifer Nettles, the host of the Fox show, acknowledges that this season the female contestants are displaying more emotions, energy, and quick reactions, which may result in some intense moments on the farm.

The upcoming second season of Farmer Wants a Wife will showcase the stories of four farmers from different parts of the United States as they search for their soulmates.

In an interesting twist, each farmer will choose five women from a group of 29 to live with them on their farm. This experience will allow the women to fully understand what it means to be a farmer's wife.

Get to know the farmers featured on the second season of Farmer Wants a Wife:

Ty Ferrell, aged 42, identifies more as a cowboy than a farmer due to his role as a team roper. He runs a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, where he raises horses and cattle. His passion for roping and riding started at a young age and has stuck with him throughout his life. Ferrell, one of the older farmers on the show, is a divorced father with a 12-year-old daughter. He is searching for a partner who can not only be his companion but also a caring mother figure for his child.

Mitchell Kolinsky, a 27-year-old farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, is the first in his family to pursue farming. His large piece of land is home to various animals and an old cabin from the 1800s, where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky's upbringing around horses and outdoor activities inspired him to enter the farming industry. He currently has his own farm with horses and cattle.

Brandon Rogers, aged 29, manages a large potato and barley farm spanning 1,000 acres in Center, Colorado. The town he resides in is very small, with only one traffic light, and is surrounded by farmland. Being a farmer is a tradition in his family, with Rogers being the second generation to work on the farm alongside his father. He is dedicated to carrying on the legacy his father started and is committed to the family business.

At 23 years old, Nathan Smothers comes from a long line of farmers and is the fourth generation to work in citrus and cattle farming in Bartow, Florida. He owns a large property with 300 acres of farmland and over 500 acres for his cattle. Despite his young age, Nathan has shown maturity and responsibility since losing his father when he was just 12 years old. He now helps take care of his mother and three sisters.

The second season of "Farmer Wants a Wife" will debut on Fox on Thursday, February 1st, at 9PM ET.
