Get to know the farmers featured on Season 2 of Farmer Wants a Wife:
Ty Ferrell, aged 42, likes to consider himself a cowboy rather than a farmer, as he is a team roper by profession. He runs a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, where he raises horses and cattle. Ty has a passion for roping and riding that dates back to his childhood. As one of the more mature farmers on the show, Ty is a divorced dad with a 12-year-old daughter. He is in search of a partner who can not only be his companion, but also a caring mother figure for his child.
Mitchell Kolinsky, 27, is a new farmer in Mount Juliet, Tenn. He has a large property with many animals and an old cabin from the 1800s, where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky was raised around horses and nature, which inspired him to pursue farming as a career. He currently runs his own farm with horses and cattle.
Brandon Rogers, who is 29 years old, runs a large farm in Center, Colorado that spans 1,000 acres and grows potatoes and barley. The town where he resides is very small, with only one traffic light, and is surrounded by agricultural land. As the son of a farmer, Rogers grew up helping his father on the farm and is now carrying on the family tradition by working in the family business. He aspires to uphold the legacy that his father started.
Nathan Smothers, 23, comes from a long line of farmers and has inherited a love for farming. He is a fourth generation farmer who grows citrus and raises cattle in Bartow, Florida. His property is extensive, with 300 acres of farmland and over 500 acres dedicated to cattle. Despite his young age, Smothers is mature and responsible. He had to take on more responsibilities at a young age after losing his father when he was 12, in order to help take care of his mother and three sisters.
