Get to know the farmers featured on the second season of Farmer Wants a Wife:
Ty Ferrell, aged 42, likes to refer to himself as a cowboy rather than a farmer because he specializes in team roping. He runs a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, where he raises horses and cattle. Ferrell has a passion for roping and riding that he has carried since childhood. As one of the more mature farmers on the show, he is a divorced father with a 12-year-old daughter. He is searching for a partner who can not only be his companion but also a nurturing figure for his child.
Mitchell Kolinsky, a 27-year-old farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, is the first in his family to work in agriculture. His large property is home to various animals and an old cabin from the 1800s, where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky was raised around horses and enjoyed spending time outdoors, which inspired him to pursue a farming career. He currently runs his own farm with horses and cattle.
Brandon Rogers, who is 29 years old, runs a farm in Center, Colorado that spans 1,000 acres and grows potatoes and barley. The town he resides in is very small, with just one stoplight, and is surrounded by farmland. Rogers is a farmer of the second generation and grew up helping his father on the farm. He is currently running the family business and aims to carry on the legacy that his father started.
Nathan Smothers, a 23-year-old farmer from Bartow, Florida, comes from a long line of farmers who have worked with citrus and cattle. His family owns a large property with 300 acres of farmland and over 500 acres for their cattle. Despite being the youngest farmer on the show, Smothers has shown maturity beyond his age. He had to take on responsibilities at a young age after his father passed away when he was 12, stepping up to help care for his mother and three sisters.
The second season of "Farmer Wants a Wife" will debut on Fox on February 1st at 9PM ET.
