Introducing the farmers featured on Season 2 of Farmer Wants a Wife:
Ty Ferrell, aged 42, considers himself more of a cowboy than a farmer due to his expertise in team roping. He runs a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, where he raises horses and cattle. Roping and riding are his passions, which he has been pursuing since childhood. Ferrell, who is one of the older farmers on the show, is a divorced father with a 12-year-old daughter. He is searching for a partner who can not only be his companion but also a caring mother figure for his child.
Mitchell Kolinsky is a 27-year-old farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee who comes from a family that did not have previous experience in farming. His large property is home to a variety of wildlife and includes a 19th century cabin where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky was exposed to horses and spent much of his childhood outdoors, which inspired him to pursue a career in farming. He now operates his own farm, raising horses and cattle.
Brandon Rogers, who is 29 years old, runs a farm in Center, Colorado that spans 1,000 acres and produces potatoes and barley. The town he resides in is very small, with only one traffic light, and is surrounded by agricultural land. Rogers is following in his father's footsteps as a second generation farmer, having spent his youth helping out on the farm. He is dedicated to carrying on the family business and upholding the legacy that his father began.
Nathan Smothers, a 23-year-old farmer from Bartow, Florida, comes from a long line of farmers. He is the fourth generation in his family to work in citrus and cattle farming. Smothers has a large property that includes 300 acres of farmland and over 500 acres for raising cattle. Despite his young age, he has shown maturity and responsibility since losing his father at the age of 12. He has taken on the role of helping to support his mother and three sisters.
The second season of Farmer Wants a Wife will debut on Fox on Thursday, February 1st at 9PM ET.
