Get to know the farmers featured on the second season of Farmer Wants a Wife:
Ty Ferrell, aged 42, identifies more as a cowboy than a farmer due to his role as a team roper. He runs a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, where he raises horses and cattle. Ty has been involved in roping and riding since childhood and considers it a part of his heritage. As one of the older farmers on the show, Ty is a divorced father with a 12-year-old daughter. He is seeking a partner who can not only be a companion to him but also a caring mother figure for his child.
Mitchell Kolinsky, a 27-year-old farmer from Mount Juliet, Tennessee, is the first in his family to pursue farming. His large property is home to a variety of wildlife and an old cabin from the 19th century, where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky's upbringing around horses and his love for the outdoors inspired him to start a farming career. He currently owns a farm with both horses and cattle.
Brandon Rogers, who is 29 years old, owns and manages a large farm in Center, Colorado that grows potatoes and barley on 1,000 acres of land. The town he resides in is very small, with only one traffic light, and is surrounded by agricultural land. Coming from a family of farmers, Rogers has been working on the farm since he was a child, learning the ropes from his father. He is committed to carrying on the family tradition and hopes to preserve the legacy that his father started.
Nathan Smothers, a 23-year-old farmer from Bartow, Florida, comes from a long line of citrus and cattle farmers. His family owns a large property with 300 acres of farmland and 500 acres dedicated to cattle. Despite his young age, Smothers has shown great maturity and responsibility since losing his father at the age of 12. He has taken on the role of helping to care for his mother and three sisters.
The second season of Farmer Wants a Wife will debut on Fox on Thursday, February 1st at 9PM ET.
