Jennifer Nettles, the host of the Fox show, acknowledges that this season, the female contestants are displaying more emotions, energy, and quick reactions, which may result in some exciting moments on the farm.

The upcoming season of Farmer Wants a Wife will showcase four farmers from different parts of the United States who are searching for their soulmates.

However, there is a unique aspect to this arrangement where every farmer will choose five women from a group of 29 to move in with them on their farm. This experience is meant to provide these women with a comprehensive understanding of the responsibilities of being a farmer's wife.

Get to know the farmers featured on Season 2 of Farmer Wants a Wife:

Ty Ferrell, 42, refers to himself as a cowboy rather than a farmer because he specializes in team roping. He runs a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, where he raises horses and cattle. Ferrell has been involved in roping and riding since he was a young child, and he is one of the older farmers on the show. As a divorced father with a 12-year-old daughter, he is seeking a partner who can also be a caring mother figure for his child.

Mitchell Kolinsky, 27, is a farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee who is the first in his family to pursue farming. His property is large and full of wildlife, including a historic cabin from the 19th century where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky's upbringing around horses and spending time outdoors inspired him to choose a career in farming. He currently owns a farm with both horses and cattle.

Brandon Rogers, who is 29 years old, runs a farm in Center, Colorado that spans 1,000 acres and grows potatoes and barley. Center is a small town with just one stoplight, surrounded by agricultural land. Rogers is a farmer of the second generation and grew up helping his father on the farm. He is now continuing the family business and aims to carry on his father's legacy.

At only 23 years old, Nathan Smothers comes from a long line of farmers in Bartow, Florida, specializing in citrus and cattle. His family owns a large property with 300 acres for farming and over 500 acres for cattle. Despite his young age, Smothers has shown maturity and responsibility, especially after the loss of his father when he was just 12 years old. Since then, he has taken on the role of helping to care for his mother and three sisters.

The second season of Farmer Wants a Wife will debut on Fox on Thursday, February 1st, at 9PM ET.
