Jennifer Nettles, the host of the Fox show, acknowledged that this season, the female contestants are displaying more intense emotions and reactions, which may result in some dramatic moments on the farm.
The upcoming season of Farmer Wants a Wife will follow the journey of four farmers from different parts of the United States as they search for their perfect partners.
The unique aspect of this situation is that each farmer will choose five women from a group of 29 to come and live with them on their farm. This experience will allow the women to fully understand the responsibilities of being a farmer's wife.
Introducing the farmers featured on Season 2 of Farmer Wants a Wife:
Ty Ferrell, aged 42, identifies more as a cowboy than a farmer, as he is a team roper. He manages a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, where he raises horses and cattle. Ty has been passionate about roping and riding since he was a young child. As one of the older farmers on the show, he is a divorced father to a 12-year-old daughter. Ty is seeking a partner who can not only be his companion but also a caring mother figure for his child.
At 27 years old, Mitchell Kolinsky is a farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee who is the first in his family to pursue this occupation. His farm is located on a large piece of land with abundant wildlife and a historic cabin from the 19th century, where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky was raised around horses and has always enjoyed spending time outdoors, which inspired him to become a farmer. He currently owns a farm with both horses and cattle.
Brandon Rogers, who is 29 years old, runs a large farm in Center, Colorado that grows potatoes and barley on 1,000 acres of land. The town he resides in is very small and rural, with only one traffic light and surrounded by farmland. As the son of a farmer, Rogers has been involved in the family business since he was a child, working alongside his father. He plans to carry on the legacy that his father started and continue running the farm.
Nathan Smothers, a 23-year-old, comes from a long line of farmers and is a fourth-generation citrus and cattle farmer in Bartow, Florida. He owns a large property with 300 acres of farmland and over 500 acres dedicated to cattle. Despite his young age, Smothers has had to mature quickly after his father passed away when he was 12, taking on the responsibility of taking care of his mother and three sisters.
The second season of Farmer Wants a Wife will debut on Thursday, February 1st, at 9PM Eastern Time on the Fox network.
