Get to know the farmers featured on the second season of Farmer Wants a Wife:
Ty Ferrell, a 42-year-old man from Sikeston, Missouri, prefers to be called a cowboy instead of a farmer because of his love for team roping. He runs a 50-acre farm with horses and cattle, and has been involved in rodeo activities since he was young. Ferrell, who is one of the older farmers on the show, is a divorced father with a 12-year-old daughter. He is searching for a partner who can not only be his companion, but also a caring mother to his child.
At the age of 27, Mitchell Kolinsky is a farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee who is the first in his family to pursue this career. His large property is home to many different animals and includes a historic cabin from the 19th century, where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky has always been surrounded by horses and has a strong connection to nature, which inspired him to start his own farming business. Today, he is the proud owner of a farm that houses both horses and cattle.
Brandon Rogers, aged 29, runs a large farm in Center, Colorado that grows potatoes and barley across 1,000 acres of land. The town where he resides is very small, with only a single traffic light, and is primarily surrounded by farmland. Coming from a family of farmers, Rogers began working on the farm alongside his father during his childhood. He is dedicated to carrying on the family business and preserving the legacy that his father started.
Nathan Smothers, a 23-year-old farmer from Bartow, Florida, comes from a long line of farmers. He is the fourth generation in his family to work in citrus and cattle farming. His farm spans 300 acres of land for crops and over 500 acres for raising cattle. Despite his young age, Smothers is mature and responsible, having taken on the role of supporting his mother and three sisters after his father passed away when he was just 12 years old.
The second season of Farmer Wants a Wife will debut on Thursday, February 1st at 9PM Eastern Time on the Fox network.
