Get to know the farmers featured on the second season of Farmer Wants a Wife:
Ty Ferrell, aged 42, identifies more as a cowboy than a farmer due to his role as a team roper. He takes care of a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, where he raises horses and cattle. Ty has a deep-rooted passion for roping and riding, which he has been involved in since he was a young boy. As one of the older farmers on the show, Ty is a divorced dad to a 12-year-old daughter. He is searching for a partner who can not only be a companion to him but also a nurturing figure for his child.
At just 27 years old, Mitchell Kolinsky is a farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee who comes from a family that did not have previous experience in farming. His large piece of land is home to a variety of animals and an old cabin from the 1800s, where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky's childhood included being around horses and spending much of his time outside, leading him to pursue a career in farming. He currently runs his own farm, raising both horses and cattle.
Brandon Rogers, a 29-year-old man, manages a large farm in Center, Colorado that grows potatoes and barley across 1,000 acres of land. The town where he resides is very small, with only one traffic light, and is surrounded by agricultural fields. As the son of a farmer, Rogers grew up helping his father on the farm and now runs the family business with the goal of carrying on his father's legacy.
Nathan Smothers, a 23-year-old farmer from Bartow, Florida, comes from a long line of farmers. He is the fourth generation in his family to work in citrus and cattle farming. Smothers owns a large property with 300 acres of farmland and 500 acres for cattle. Despite his young age, he is mature and responsible due to the loss of his father when he was just 12 years old. Since then, he has taken on the role of helping his mother and three sisters.
The second season of "Farmer Wants a Wife" will debut on Fox on Thursday, February 1st at 9PM Eastern Time.
