Introducing the farmers featured on Season 2 of Farmer Wants a Wife: Ty Ferrell, aged 42, describes himself as a cowboy rather than a farmer due to his role as a "team roper". He manages a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, where he raises horses and cattle. Ty has been involved in roping and riding since he was a young child. As one of the older farmers on the show, he is a divorced father with a 12-year-old daughter. Ty is seeking a partner who can not only be his companion but also a loving mother to his child.
At 27 years old, Mitchell Kolinsky is a farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee who is the first in his family to work in agriculture. His property is vast and filled with various animals, including a historic cabin from the 1800s where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky was raised around horses and enjoyed spending time outside, which inspired him to pursue a career in farming. Today, he is the proud owner of a farm that includes horses and cattle.
Brandon Rogers, a 29-year-old farmer, manages a large farm in Center, Colorado that grows potatoes and barley on a 1,000-acre plot of land. Center is a small town with only one traffic light, surrounded by agricultural fields. Rogers comes from a family of farmers and has been working on the farm with his father since he was a child. He is dedicated to carrying on the family business and hopes to preserve the legacy that his father started.
At 23 years old, Nathan Smothers comes from a long line of farmers, being the fourth generation of citrus and cattle farmers in Bartow, Florida. His expansive property includes 300 acres of farmland and 500 acres for his cattle. Despite his youth, Smothers has shown maturity beyond his years, especially after the loss of his father when he was just 12 years old. Taking on the responsibility of caring for his mother and three sisters, Smothers has proven himself capable and resilient.
