Sugar Ray Singer Confirms Kid Rock Did “Get More Ass” Than Mark McGrath: The Truth Behind the Lyrics

  • by

The lead singer of Sugar Ray has verified that Kid Rock's lyrics about "getting more ass" than Mark McGrath were accurate.

The words were taken from a song called "Cocky" by Rock in 2001, which was part of his album with the same title. In one part of the song, the lyrics say: "I don't care who you are, I am Kid Rock from the traditional era. I have more money than Matchbox Twenty and I attract more attention than Mark McGrath."

How was the question that has been around for over twenty years finally answered? It all began when Rock Feed asked on social media if Kid Rock really had more romantic encounters than Mark McGrath.

Shortly after, well-known YouTuber Finn McKenty proposed that Mark McGrath should help resolve the argument, and he also mentioned the singer from Sugar Ray by tagging him.

Soon after, McGrath responded to the question with a good-natured attitude. The singer confirmed that the person mentioned did indeed rhyme "ass" with McGrath, earning extra points for creativity. McGrath's response was shared through X, which was formerly known as Twitter.
