The lead singer of Sugar Ray has verified that Kid Rock's lyrics about "getting more ass" than Mark McGrath were accurate.
The lyrics mentioned were from a song called "Cocky" by Rock in 2001, which was part of an album with the same title. In one part of the song, the lyrics talk about Rock identifying himself as "Kid Motherfuckin' Rock from the old school" and boasting about having more money than Matchbox Twenty and getting more attention from women than Mark McGrath.
How did they finally solve a question that has been around for over twenty years? It all began when Rock Feed raised the question on social media: "Did Kid Rock really have more success with women than Mark McGrath?"
Shortly after, well-known YouTuber Finn McKenty proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument, and he made sure to tag the singer from Sugar Ray.
McGrath responded to the question with a sense of humor, confirming that the person did indeed rhyme "ass" with "McGrath." The singer clarified this through X (formerly Twitter) to clear up any confusion.
