Sugar Ray Singer Confirms Kid Rock Lyrics Were True: Did Kid Rock Really “Get More Ass” Than Mark McGrath?

  • by

The lead singer of Sugar Ray has verified that Kid Rock's lyrics about getting more romantic attention than Mark McGrath were accurate.

The words were taken from Rock's song "Cocky" from his album released in 2001. In the specific part of the song, the lyrics go: "Do you even know who I am? I'm Kid Rock from the old school. I have more money than Matchbox Twenty and get more attention from women than Mark McGrath."

How was a solution found to this question that has been around for over twenty years? It all began when Rock Feed asked on social media whether Kid Rock truly had more success with women than Mark McGrath.

Shortly after that, well-known YouTuber Finn McKenty proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument, and he also mentioned the Sugar Ray vocalist in his post.

McGrath responded to the question with a sense of humor, confirming that the person did indeed rhyme "ass" with "McGrath." This response was shared through the platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
