The lead singer of Sugar Ray has verified that Kid Rock's lyrics about getting more attention from women than Mark McGrath were accurate.
The lyrics were taken from a song called "Cocky" by Rock, released in 2001 on an album with the same title. In these lyrics, the artist refers to himself as Kid Rock and boasts about his success and popularity compared to other musicians.
How was a question that has been unanswered for over twenty years finally resolved? It all began when Rock Feed posted on social media asking if Kid Rock really had more success with women than Mark McGrath.
Shortly after that, well-known YouTuber Finn McKenty proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument, and he even mentioned the singer from Sugar Ray in his post.
McGrath responded to the question in a light-hearted manner, confirming that the person in question did indeed rhyme "ass" with McGrath. He made a joke about it and clarified any confusion through a social media platform called X.

If you were curious, Matchbox Twenty has not responded to Rock's other claim. It would be intriguing to see a comparison of their financial success, as both bands have been successful for four decades.
