The lead singer of Sugar Ray has verified that Kid Rock was telling the truth in his lyrics about "getting more ass" than Mark McGrath.
The lyrics were taken from a song called "Cocky" by Rock in 2001, which was part of his album with the same title. In this part of the song, the lyrics mention Rock introducing himself as "Kid Motherfuckin' Rock from the old school" and boasting about having more money and getting more attention than other musicians.
How was a question that had been around for over twenty years finally resolved? It all began when Rock Feed asked on social media if Kid Rock really had more romantic encounters than Mark McGrath.
Shortly after that, Finn McKenty, a well-known YouTuber, proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument. McKenty also mentioned McGrath on social media.
McGrath responded to the question with a sense of humor, confirming that they did indeed rhyme "ass" with "McGrath". This response was shared through X (previously known as Twitter).

If you were curious, Matchbox Twenty has not responded to Rock's other claim. It would be intriguing to compare the financial success of both bands, as they have been successful in four different decades.
