Sugar Ray Singer Confirms Kid Rock Was Telling the Truth: Did he really “get more ass” than Mark McGrath?

  • by

The lead singer of Sugar Ray has verified that Kid Rock's lyrics about getting more attention from women than Mark McGrath were accurate.

The lyrics in question were taken from Kid Rock's song "Cocky" released in 2001 on his album with the same title. These lyrics mention Kid Rock's identity and success, comparing his wealth and popularity to other musicians.

The answer to a question that had been around for over twenty years was finally found. It all began when Rock Feed asked on social media if Kid Rock really had more romantic success than Mark McGrath.

Shortly after that, well-known YouTuber Finn McKenty proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument, and he also mentioned and tagged the Sugar Ray vocalist.

Shortly after, McGrath responded to the question with humor. He confirmed that the person did indeed rhyme "ass" with his last name, McGrath. This clarification was shared by the singer on X (formerly known as Twitter).
