The lead singer of Sugar Ray has verified that Kid Rock was truthful in his lyrics about getting more attention than Mark McGrath.
The lyrics were taken from a song called "Cocky" by Rock in 2001, which was part of his album with the same title. In this particular part of the song, the lyrics mention Rock identifying himself as Kid Rock from the old school and boasting about having more money than Matchbox Twenty and getting more attention from women than Mark McGrath.
How was a question that has been around for over twenty years finally answered? It all began when Rock Feed asked on social media, "Did Kid Rock really have more romantic encounters than Mark McGrath?"
Shortly after that, Finn McKenty, a well-known YouTuber, proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument. He also made sure to mention and tag the lead singer of Sugar Ray in his suggestion.
McGrath responded to the question with a sense of humor and confirmed that the mentioned person did indeed rhyme "ass" with his name. He made light of the situation and clarified any confusion through a social media platform.

If you were curious, Matchbox Twenty has not responded to Rock's other claim. Since both bands have been performing for four decades, it would be intriguing to compare their financial success.
