Super Bowl 58: The Most Expensive Ticket in History

  • by

Super Bowl 58 is expected to have the highest ticket prices ever seen in the game's history. If you're hoping to attend this year's Super Bowl, be prepared to pay a premium as it is projected to be extremely expensive.

On Thursday, the lowest priced single ticket available was $8,000 on the ticket resale website TickPick. This ticket would give you a seat in the upper 300 section, but it is important to note that the website does guarantee you will have a seat.

If the prices remain stable, this Super Bowl ticket could become the most costly one ever. The previous record-holder was the 2020 Super Bowl, where the average ticket price was $6,370. One of the reasons for the high price that year was that the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, were in the game. However, this year is different as the home team is not playing.

The upcoming Super Bowl will mark the first time it is being hosted in Las Vegas, and experts believe this is causing ticket prices to increase. Fans are eager to experience a weekend in Sin City and top it off with the renowned sporting event.

In case you were curious, the average price of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.

The location plays a significant role in attracting 49er fans, as shown by StubHub data indicating that 26 percent of ticket sales come from California. Fans from California have a shorter distance to travel to watch their favorite team. In contrast, Kansas and Missouri account for only 7 percent of ticket sales on the website.

Also, it should be mentioned the influence of Taylor Swift! With her presence expected at the event, it's possible that there will be a larger turnout of female fans compared to normal.

Regardless of how you enter, Allegiant Stadium, with its 65,000 seats, will be filled to capacity. The kickoff for Super Bowl 58 is scheduled for 6:30PM ET on Sunday, February 11th.
