Super Bowl 58: The Most Expensive Ticket in History

  • by

Super Bowl 58 is on track to have the highest-priced tickets ever seen in the game's history. If you plan on attending this year's Super Bowl, you will need to be prepared to pay a premium price.

As of Thursday, the lowest priced single ticket available on the ticket resale website TickPick was $8,000. This ticket would give you a seat in the upper 300 section, with the site confirming that the purchase includes a guaranteed seat.

If the prices remain the same, this Super Bowl ticket will be the most costly one ever. The previous record holder for the highest-priced ticket was the 2020 Super Bowl, where the average ticket purchase price was $6,370. One of the main reasons for the high price that year was that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the home team, were playing in the game. However, this year, that is not the case.

The upcoming Super Bowl will be the first to take place in Las Vegas, and experts believe this is causing ticket prices to rise. Fans are eager to experience a weekend in Sin City and top it off with the most significant sporting event globally.

In case you were curious, the average price of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.

Many 49er fans prioritize location when buying tickets, as StubHub data reveals that 26 percent of ticket sales come from California. This means that fans in California are more likely to attend games due to the shorter distance. In contrast, Kansas and Missouri only account for 7 percent of ticket sales on StubHub, showing that fans from these states are less likely to make the trip to see the 49ers play.

Let's also consider the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event could attract a larger female audience than usual.

Regardless of how you enter, Allegiant Stadium with 65,000 seats will be completely full. The Super Bowl 58 will start on Sunday, February 11th at 6:30PM ET.
