Super Bowl 58: The Most Expensive Ticket in History

  • by

Super Bowl 58 is expected to have the highest ticket prices ever seen for the game. Only those with a lot of money to spare will be able to attend this year's Super Bowl.

On Thursday, the lowest priced single ticket available on the ticket resale website TickPick was $8,000. This ticket would provide a seat in the upper 300 section, with the site specifying that the purchase of a seat is assured.

If the prices remain steady, this Super Bowl ticket could become the most costly one ever sold. The previous record was set at the 2020 Super Bowl, with an average ticket price of $6,370. The high prices that year were largely due to the fact that the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, were competing in the game. However, that is not the case this year.

The upcoming Super Bowl will be hosted in Las Vegas for the first time ever, and experts believe that this new location is causing ticket prices to increase. Fans are excited to enjoy a weekend in Sin City and top it off with the most anticipated sporting event in the world.

In case you were curious, the average price of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.

The proximity of the location plays a significant role in attracting 49er fans, as shown by StubHub data indicating that 26 percent of ticket sales come from California. Fans from California find it easier to make the journey to see their team compared to fans from Kansas and Missouri, who account for only 7 percent of ticket sales on the website.

Let's also consider the influence of Taylor Swift! She is expected to attend, possibly attracting a larger female audience than usual.

Regardless of how you enter, Allegiant Stadium, which has a seating capacity of 65,000, will be completely full. The kickoff for Super Bowl 58 is scheduled for Sunday, February 11, at 6:30PM Eastern Time.
