Super Bowl 58: The Most Expensive Ticket in History

  • by

Super Bowl 58 is expected to have the highest ticket prices ever seen for the game. Only those with a lot of money to spend will be able to attend this year's Super Bowl.

As of Thursday, the lowest-priced single ticket available was $8,000 on the ticket resale website TickPick. This ticket would provide a seat in the upper 300 section, although it is important to note that the site guarantees the availability of the seat.

If the current prices remain stable, this Super Bowl ticket could be remembered as the most costly one ever sold. The 2020 Super Bowl holds the record for the highest average ticket purchase price, coming in at $6,370. The main reason for this high price was the fact that the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, were competing in the game. However, this year, the home team playing in the Super Bowl is not the reason for the high ticket prices.

The upcoming Super Bowl will be taking place in Las Vegas for the first time ever. According to ticket experts, this unique location is causing prices to rise as fans are eager to experience a weekend in Sin City and top it off with the biggest sports event globally.

In case you were curious, the average price for a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.

The proximity to the stadium is a major draw for fans of the 49ers, as shown by StubHub data revealing that 26 percent of tickets are purchased by fans from California. In comparison, only 7 percent of ticket sales on StubHub come from fans in Kansas and Missouri combined.

Let's also consider the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event may attract more female fans than usual.

Regardless of how you enter, the Allegiant Stadium with 65,000 seats will be completely full. The start of Super Bowl 58 is scheduled for Sunday, February 11 at 6:30PM ET.
