Super Bowl 58 is on track to have the priciest tickets in the history of the game. If you want to attend this year's Super Bowl, you'll need to be willing to spend a lot of money.
By Thursday, the lowest priced single ticket available on the ticket resale website TickPick was $8,000. This ticket would provide you with a seat in the upper 300 section, but it is important to note that the site cannot guarantee a specific seat.
If the prices remain stable, this year's Super Bowl ticket could be the most expensive ever. The previous record holder was the 2020 Super Bowl, with an average ticket price of $6,370. The high prices that year were largely driven by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the home team, participating in the game. However, this year, the home team is not playing in the Super Bowl.
The upcoming Super Bowl will be the first one ever hosted in Las Vegas, which is causing ticket prices to increase as fans are eager to enjoy a weekend in Sin City and attend the world's most prominent sporting event.
In case you were curious, the average price of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.
The location plays a significant role in attracting 49er fans, as data from StubHub reveals that 26 percent of ticket sales come from California. This suggests that fans living closer to the team's stadium are more likely to attend games. In contrast, only 7 percent of ticket sales on StubHub come from Kansas and Missouri combined.
Don't overlook the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event could attract a larger female audience than usual.
Regardless of how you enter, Allegiant Stadium with 65,000 seats will be filled to capacity. The kickoff for Super Bowl 58 is scheduled for Sunday, February 11, at 6:30PM ET.
