Super Bowl 58: The Most Expensive Ticket in History

  • by

Super Bowl 58 is on track to have the highest ticket prices ever seen in the game's history. Only those willing to spend a significant amount of money will be able to attend this year's event.

As of Thursday, the lowest-priced single ticket available was $8,000 on the ticket resale website TickPick. This ticket would place you in the upper 300 section, but it is important to note that the site cannot guarantee a specific seat.

If the prices remain stable, this Super Bowl ticket will be considered the most costly one ever. The previous record was set in 2020, with an average ticket price of $6,370. The high prices that year were largely due to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the home team, playing in the game. This year, however, the situation is different.

The upcoming Super Bowl in Las Vegas is the first of its kind, and experts believe that this unique location is causing ticket prices to rise. Fans are excited at the opportunity to enjoy a weekend in Sin City and top it off with the world's largest sporting event.

In case you were curious, the average price for a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.

The proximity to the stadium is a significant factor for 49er fans when purchasing tickets. According to StubHub, 26% of ticket sales come from California, as fans from the state find it easier to make the trip to see their team play. In comparison, only 7% of ticket sales on the site come from Kansas and Missouri combined.

Let's also consider the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event may attract a larger female audience than usual.

Regardless of how you enter, Allegiant Stadium, which has a seating capacity of 65,000, will be completely full. Super Bowl 58 is scheduled to start on Sunday, February 11th at 6:30 PM Eastern Time.
