Super Bowl 58: The Most Expensive Ticket in History, Thanks to Las Vegas and Taylor Swift

  • by

Super Bowl 58 is on track to have the highest-priced tickets ever seen in the game's history. If you plan on attending this year's Super Bowl, be prepared to spend a lot of money as it is expected to be the most costly one yet.

As of Thursday, the lowest priced single ticket available was $8,000 on the ticket resale platform TickPick. This ticket would secure you a seat in the upper 300 section, with the site ensuring that the seat is guaranteed.

If the prices stay the same, this Super Bowl ticket will be the most costly one ever. The previous record holder was the 2020 Super Bowl, with an average ticket price of $6,370. The high price that year was largely due to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the home team, playing in the game. However, that is not the case this year.

Ticket experts are noting that the upcoming Super Bowl in Las Vegas is the first of its kind, and this unique location is causing ticket prices to increase. Fans are eager to experience a weekend in Sin City and top it off with the most significant sporting event globally.

In case you were curious, the average price of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.

Many 49er fans consider location an important factor when purchasing tickets, as shown by StubHub data indicating that 26 percent of ticket sales come from California. Fans from California prefer the shorter trip to see their favorite team. In contrast, fans from Kansas and Missouri only account for a total of 7 percent of ticket sales on StubHub.

Let's also consider the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence may attract a larger number of female fans to the event.

Regardless of how you enter, Allegiant Stadium with its 65,000 seats will be completely full. Super Bowl 58 is scheduled to start on Sunday, February 11th at 6:30 PM Eastern Time.
