One of the main reasons for the high price that year was the fact that the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, were playing in the game. However, that is not the case for this year's Super Bowl.
The upcoming Super Bowl will be the first one ever hosted in Las Vegas. Experts believe this unique location is causing ticket prices to increase as fans are eager to enjoy a weekend in Sin City culminating in the biggest sports event globally.
