Super Bowl 58 is expected to have the highest ticket prices in the history of the game. Those looking to attend will need to be prepared to spend a significant amount of money.
As of Thursday, the lowest priced single ticket available was $8,000 on the ticket resale website TickPick. This ticket would grant you a seat in the upper 300 section, but it is important to note that the website guarantees you a seat for this price.
If the current prices remain stable, this Super Bowl ticket will be known as the most expensive one ever. The previous record was set in 2020 with an average ticket price of $6,370. The high prices that year were largely due to the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, playing in the game. However, this year's Super Bowl does not have the same factor influencing ticket prices.
The upcoming Super Bowl will be the first one to take place in Las Vegas, which is causing ticket prices to increase as fans are excited to have the opportunity to spend a weekend in Sin City and attend the biggest sporting event in the world.
If you were curious, the average price of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.
For fans of the 49ers, where the game is located plays a significant role in their decision to purchase tickets. According to StubHub, a website for reselling tickets, 26 percent of ticket sales come from California, as fans from the state find it easier to make the trip to see their team play. In comparison, only 7 percent of ticket sales on the site come from Kansas and Missouri combined.
Don't overlook the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event might attract a larger number of female fans than usual.
Allegiant Stadium, with a capacity of 65,000 seats, will be completely full for Super Bowl 58. The game is scheduled to start at 6:30PM ET on Sunday, February 11th.
