Super Bowl 58 Ticket Prices Soar to Record Highs: What to Expect for the Most Expensive Game in History

  • by

Super Bowl 58 is on track to have the highest-priced tickets ever. Those looking to attend this year's game will need to be prepared to spend a lot of money.

As of Thursday, the lowest-priced single ticket available was $8,000 on the secondary ticket marketplace TickPick. This ticket would provide a seat in the upper 300 section, with the site specifying that the purchase includes a guaranteed seat.

If the prices remain stable, this Super Bowl ticket could become the most costly one ever. The previous record holder was the 2020 Super Bowl, where the average ticket price was $6,370. The high price that year was largely driven by the fact that the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was playing. However, this year's Super Bowl does not have that same factor influencing prices.

The upcoming Super Bowl will mark the first time that the event is being hosted in Las Vegas. Ticket experts believe that this unique location is causing ticket prices to rise, as fans are eager to experience a weekend in Sin City and attend the world's biggest sporting event.

In case you were curious, the average price for a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.

The location plays a significant role in attracting 49er fans, as shown by StubHub data indicating that 26 percent of ticket sales come from California. This suggests that fans from California are more likely to attend games due to the shorter distance. In contrast, sales from Kansas and Missouri only account for a total of 7 percent on the website.

Let's also consider the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event may attract more female fans than usual.

Regardless of how you enter, Allegiant Stadium's 65,000 seats will be filled to capacity for Super Bowl 58. The game is scheduled to start on Sunday, February 11, at 6:30PM ET.
