Walmart is expanding by adding more "large" stores and installing electric vehicle charging stations. They have a strong strategy to expand their retail presence and improve existing store locations.

CNBC stated that the company plans to expand by constructing or transforming over 150 "large-format" stores throughout the United States within the next five years. The Associated Press mentioned that Walmart has not opened any new stores in the last three years.

Walmart has released press images showcasing the design of its Supercenter for their upcoming "large-format" stores. The specific locations of these stores have not been disclosed by the company.

Walmart announced that they will be implementing their "Store of the Future" concept in certain locations, which will include more displays and QR codes that customers can scan for more information about products. Before this announcement, Walmart was already in the process of remodeling 650 more locations to include this concept.

According to a statement released by Walmart president and CEO John Furner, the company's investments in labor, supplies, and tax revenue amount to millions of dollars and have positive impacts on their local communities.

According to CNBC, the company chose not to disclose the expenses associated with the stores.

Walmart has revealed that their new stores will prioritize sustainability in their design. This will include the use of energy-efficient lighting and equipment throughout the locations.

Apart from focusing on sustainability initiatives within its stores, Walmart is also planning to upgrade its parking lot. The company announced intentions to install rapid charging stations for electric cars.

Walmart is planning to create a widespread network of affordable electric vehicle fast-charging stations. This initiative aims to provide more convenience and accessibility for Walmart customers and employees who own electric vehicles.

According to CNBC, Walmart has over 4,600 stores in the United States and has a workforce of almost 1.6 million employees.
