After their recent joint concert, bluegrass artists Billy Strings and Chris Thile came together again to perform for a TV audience on CBS Saturday Morning's Saturday Sessions.
During the show, the skilled guitar player and mandolin expert performed three well-known bluegrass songs: "I Am a Pilgrim," "Wild Bill Jones," and "I’ve Been All Around This World," which was made famous by the Grateful Dead.
Both Strings and Thile are nominated for Grammy awards at the upcoming ceremony, but in different categories. Strings is nominated for three awards: Best Bluegrass Album (Me/And/Dad), Best Americana Roots Song ("California Sober" with Willie Nelson), and Best Country Duo/Group Performance (for Dierks Bentley's "High Note"). Thile, on the other hand, is nominated for Best Folk Album for Celebrants as a member of Nickel Creek.
