Country singer Darius Rucker was reportedly arrested in Williamson County, Tennessee on drug charges. He was able to post a $10,500 bond and was released on the same day.

Rucker, a well-known country music artist and lead singer of the popular band Hootie & the Blowfish from the 1990s, is being accused of possessing drugs, exchanging them informally, and breaking registration laws. These charges were reported by the local news source WSMV.

According to a statement from Darius Rucker's attorney, Mark Puryear, Rucker is actively working with authorities regarding minor charges.

Rucker is getting ready to go on tour with Hootie & the Blowfish this summer for their Summer Camp With Trucks tour, which kicks off on May 30 in Dallas. This tour, featuring band members Mark Bryan, Dean Felber, and Jim “Soni” Sonefeld, will be Hootie & the Blowfish's first full tour since 2019.
