Welcome to Amber 4 Ultra, a plug-in suite created by Acustica Audio.
The newest release from Acustica Audio features their Hyper technology and Aria engine to offer an upgraded version of their well-known Amber 4 plug-in suite. Amber 4 Ultra includes accurate models of Class A equipment such as EQs, a compressor, and preamp, with improved graphics and audio quality.
The suite includes two EQ plug-ins, Amber 4 Ultra and Amber 4 Stereo Ultra. Both have a similar set of controls, but the Stereo version has separate controls for each channel. Each plug-in has four bands with frequency and gain controls. The low- and high-mid bands have a width parameter, while the low- and high-frequency bands have a control to switch between peak and shelf filter types.
Amber 4 Ultra has a control system that allows users to adjust mid, left/right, and side signals, while Amber4 Stereo Ultra allows for separate control of the left/mid and right/side channels. Acustica claims that the former is a highly effective parametric EQ with minimal noise in the digital realm, and they assure that the latter is one of the most sonically clear EQ choices they offer.
The Amber 4 Comp Ultra is a compressor and preamp that mimics a Class-A opto compressor using Hyper technology for a clear dynamics processor. It includes typical compressor parameters as well as features like side-chain filtering, adjustable stereo linking, controls for blending mid, left/right, and side signals, and built-in parallel compression.
The Amber 4 Pre Ultra offers a variety of Class A preamp designs, including both solid-state and valve-based units. These designs feature a straightforward set of controls for adjusting input and output levels, as well as preamp gain and high-pass filter settings.
The new Aira engine enables each plug-in to have dynamic and real-time metering displays, along with the company's Anti-Aliasing algorithm. Additionally, the plug-ins have lower CPU usage compared to their previous versions.
