You have arrived at the Amber 4 Ultra plug-in suite by Acustica Audio.
The newest release from Acustica Audio utilizes their Hyper technology and Aria engine to improve upon their well-known Amber 4 plug-in suite. Amber 4 Ultra features accurate models of Class A equipment such as EQs, a compressor, and a preamp, with upgraded visuals and better audio quality.
The suite includes two EQ plug-ins named Amber 4 Ultra and Amber 4 Stereo Ultra. Both plug-ins have the same controls, but the Stereo version has separate controls for each channel. Each plug-in has four bands with frequency and gain controls. The low- and high-mid bands have a width parameter, while the low- and high-frequency bands have a control to switch between peak and shelf filter types.
The Amber 4 Ultra EQ has a continuous control function that allows users to adjust mid, left/right, and side signals. On the other hand, the Amber 4 Stereo Ultra EQ provides separate control over the left/mid and right/side channels. According to Acustica, the Amber 4 Ultra is highly powerful and low-noise in the digital EQ market, while the Amber 4 Stereo Ultra is known for its musical transparency.
The Amber 4 Comp Ultra emulates a Class-A opto compressor unit using Hyper technology to provide a clear dynamics processor. It includes standard compressor controls as well as features like side-chain filtering, adjustable stereo linking, a blend control for mid, left/right, and side signals, and built-in parallel compression.
Amber 4 Pre Ultra features a collection of eight emulations of Class A preamp designs, including both solid-state and valve-based units. Each preamp design has a set of basic controls such as input and output levels, Preamp (gain), and Filter (high-pass).
The updated Aira engine allows each plug-in to have dynamic and real-time metering displays, along with the company's Anti-Aliasing algorithm. It also has lower CPU usage than the previous versions.
System Requirements
Amber 4 Ultra is compatible with computers running Windows 10 or 11, as well as Macs running macOS 10.15 and above. It comes in various plug-in versions including VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX.
