Presenting the Amber 4 Ultra plug-in suite by Acustica Audio, available for you to explore and use.
The newest release from Acustica Audio features their Hyper technology and new Aria engine to offer an upgraded version of their well-known Amber 4 plug-in suite. Amber 4 Ultra includes accurate models of Class A equipment such as EQs, a compressor, and preamp, all with improved graphics and audio quality.
The suite includes two EQ plug-ins, Amber 4 Ultra and Amber 4 Stereo Ultra. Both have matching controls, with the Stereo version having separate controls for each channel. Each plug-in has four bands with frequency and gain controls. The low- and high-mid bands have a width parameter, while the low- and high-frequency bands have a control to switch between peak and shelf filter types.
Amber 4 Ultra has a continuous control option that allows users to target mid, left/right, and side signals, while Amber 4 Stereo Ultra provides separate control over the left/mid and right/side channels. Acustica claims that the former is a highly effective, low-noise parametric EQ in the digital realm, and they assure that the latter is one of the most musically transparent EQ choices in their lineup.
The Amber 4 Comp Ultra emulates a Class-A opto compressor unit using Hyper technology to provide a clear dynamics processor. It includes standard compressor parameters, side-chain filtering, variable stereo linking, a control for blending mid, left/right, and side signals, and built-in parallel compression.
Amber 4 Pre Ultra offers a variety of Class A preamp designs, including both solid-state and valve-based units. Each preamp design has a simple set of controls for input and output levels, Preamp (gain), and Filter (high-pass). The collection includes at least eight emulations of different preamp designs.
The updated Aira engine allows each plug-in to display dynamic and real-time meters, utilizing the company's Anti-Aliasing algorithm. Additionally, the plug-ins have improved CPU efficiency compared to previous versions.
Supported operating systems for Amber 4 Ultra include Windows 10 and 11 for PCs, and macOS 10.15 and newer for Macs. Users can access VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX plug-in versions.
The Amber 4 Ultra is currently on the market and is being sold for a discounted price of €89 until February 26, 2024. After this date, the price will increase to €209.
