Presenting the Amber 4 Ultra plug-in suite by Acustica Audio. Welcome to this platform.
The newest release from Acustica Audio features their Hyper technology and Aria engine to improve their well-known Amber 4 plug-in suite. Amber 4 Ultra offers accurate models of Class A equipment such as EQs, a compressor, and a preamp, with upgraded visuals and better audio quality.
The suite includes two EQ plug-ins called Amber 4 Ultra and Amber 4 Stereo Ultra. Each plug-in has the same controls, but the Stereo version has separate controls for each channel. Both plug-ins have four bands with frequency and gain controls. The low- and high-mid bands also have a width parameter, while the low- and high-frequency bands have a control that allows you to switch between peak and shelf filter types.
Amber 4 Ultra has a continuous control function that allows users to target mid, left/right, and side signals. On the other hand, Amber4 Stereo Ultra offers separate control over the left/mid and right/side channels. Acustica claims that the former is a highly powerful parametric EQ with low noise in the digital realm, while the latter is touted as one of the most musically transparent EQ options in their lineup.
The Amber 4 Comp Ultra is a compressor and preamp that emulates a Class-A opto compressor unit using the company's Hyper technology. It has all the typical compressor controls, as well as features like side-chain filtering, variable stereo linking, a blend control for mid, left/right, and side signals, and built-in parallel compression for added versatility.
Amber 4 Pre Ultra is the final part of the collection and includes eight different emulations of Class A preamp designs. These emulations include both solid-state and valve-based units, each with a straightforward set of controls for input and output levels, as well as Preamp (gain) and Filter (high-pass).
With the introduction of the new Aira engine, all the plug-ins now have the ability to show dynamic and real-time metering displays. They also include the company's Anti-Aliasing algorithm and have lower CPU usage than previous versions.
System Requirements
Amber 4 Ultra is designed to work on computers with Windows 10 or 11 operating systems, as well as Macs with macOS 10.15 or later. Users can choose from VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX versions of the plug-in.
The Amber 4 Ultra is currently for sale and can be purchased at a discounted price of €89 until February 26, 2024. After this date, the price will increase to €209.
