Exploring the Enhanced Features of Acustica Audio’s Amber 4 Ultra Plug-In Suite

  • by

You have arrived at the Amber 4 Ultra plug-in suite created by Acustica Audio.

The newest release from Acustica Audio utilizes their Hyper technology and Aria engine to offer an upgraded version of their well-known Amber 4 plug-in suite. Amber 4 Ultra features accurate reproductions of Class A equipment such as EQs, a compressor, and a preamp, with improved visuals and audio quality.

The suite includes two EQ plug-ins called Amber 4 Ultra and Amber 4 Stereo Ultra. Each plug-in has the same controls, but the Stereo version has separate controls for each channel. Both plug-ins have four bands with frequency and gain controls. The low- and high-mid bands have a width parameter, while the low- and high-frequency bands have a control to switch between peak and shelf filter types.

Amber 4 Ultra has a continuous control that allows for precise adjustments to mid, left/right, and side signals. On the other hand, Amber4 Stereo Ultra gives users control over the left/mid and right/side channels separately. Acustica claims that the former is one of the most powerful parametric EQs with low noise in the digital realm, while the latter is considered to be one of the most musically transparent EQ options in their lineup.

The Amber 4 Comp Ultra simulates a Class-A opto compressor using advanced Hyper technology for a clear and natural sound. It includes typical compressor controls as well as features like side-chain filtering, adjustable stereo linking, a blend control for mid, left/right, and side signals, and built-in parallel compression.

Amber 4 Pre Ultra includes a variety of Class A preamp designs, with a total of eight emulations. These emulations include both solid-state and valve-based units, each with basic controls for input and output levels, as well as options for adjusting the Preamp (gain) and Filter (high-pass) settings.

The latest Aira engine allows each plug-in to have dynamic and real-time metering displays, along with the company's Anti-Aliasing algorithm. Additionally, the plug-ins have lower CPU usage compared to earlier versions.

System Requirements

Amber 4 Ultra can be used on computers with Windows 10 or 11, and on Mac computers with macOS 10.15 or newer. It is compatible with VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX plug-in formats.

Price and When You Can Get It

The Amber 4 Ultra is currently being sold at a special price of €89 until February 26, 2024. After this date, the price will go up to €209.
