Presenting the Amber 4 Ultra plug-in suite by Acustica Audio, available for use now.
The newest release from Acustica Audio utilizes their Hyper technology and new Aria engine to offer an upgraded version of their well-known Amber 4 plug-in suite. Amber 4 Ultra features accurate models of Class A equipment such as EQs, a compressor, and preamp, all with improved visuals and audio quality.
The suite includes two EQ plug-ins, Amber 4 Ultra and Amber 4 Stereo Ultra. Both have the same controls, but the Stereo version has separate controls for each channel. Each plug-in has four bands with frequency and gain controls. The low- and high-mid bands have a width parameter, and the low- and high-frequency bands can switch between peak and shelf filter types.
Amber 4 Ultra offers a continuous control feature that allows users to focus on mid, left/right, and side signals. On the other hand, Amber4 Stereo Ultra provides separate control over the left/mid and right/side channels. According to Acustica, the former is regarded as a highly powerful parametric EQ with minimal noise in the digital realm, while the latter is considered one of the most sonically transparent EQ choices in their lineup.
The Amber 4 Comp Ultra emulates a Class-A opto compressor using Hyper technology to provide a clear and transparent dynamics processor. It includes standard compressor parameters as well as features like side-chain filtering, adjustable stereo linking, control over mid, left/right, and side signals, and built-in parallel compression.
The Amber 4 Pre Ultra includes eight different emulations of Class A preamp designs, including both solid-state and valve-based units. These units have a simple set of controls that allow for adjusting input and output levels, as well as preamp gain and high-pass filter settings.
The new Aira engine allows each plug-in to have dynamic and real-time metering displays, as well as the company's Anti-Aliasing algorithm. Additionally, these plug-ins have lower CPU usage than previous versions.
System Requirements
Amber 4 Ultra can be used on computers with Windows 10 or 11 and Macs with macOS 10.15 or newer. It is compatible with VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX plug-ins.
The Amber 4 Ultra is currently on the market and can be purchased at a special price of €89 until 26 February 2024. After this date, the price will increase to €209.
