This is the place to be as Sennheiser has just introduced their new HD 490
Sennheiser has introduced the HD 490 PRO headphones. According to Sennheiser, this new range provides excellent sound quality, comfort, and durability, and has been designed to cater to the needs of contemporary music production.
The HD 490 PRO series guarantees a natural frequency response, delivering a vibrant and genuine sound reproduction throughout the entire range of audio frequencies from 5Hz to 36.1kHz (-10dB). These headphones come with two sets of ear pads that are tailored for producing and mixing music. This design helps reduce ear fatigue and enables precise identification of frequencies during critical listening tasks.
The HD 490 PRO headphones are built with an open-back design and feature neodymium magnets and Sennheiser's unique low-frequency cylinder system. This design is aimed at providing a complete, precise, and clear low end sound, as well as the capability to accurately capture low frequencies.
These headphones from Sennheiser are created to provide comfort for long studio sessions by getting rid of pressure points and offering flexibility and lightweight design. The Open-frame Architecture in the HD 490 PRO series helps to decrease resonance and lower total harmonic distortion (THD).
The headphones come with a plug-in called Dear Reality dearVR MIX-SE, which utilizes spatial audio technology to create a virtual mixing space that mimics the sound characteristics of different real-life studios and locations when using headphone monitors.
The HD 490 PRO Plus model comes with an extra 3m cable, additional headband pad, and a carrying case.
The HD 490 PRO series comes in two options – HD 490 PRO and HD 490 PRO Plus. Both versions include the HD 490 PRO headphones and come with a 3.5 mm to 6.3 mm adapter, a 1.8 m cable, mixing and producing ear pads. The HD 490 PRO Plus also includes an additional headband pad, a 3 m cable, and a case.
The Sennheiser HD 490 PRO headphones can be purchased at the moment for $399£349 for the regular version and $479£399 for the upgraded PRO Plus version.
