Even though Isbell may have looked more like Richie Sambora than JBJ, he gave a great performance, putting his all into the lyrics about seeing many faces and rocking out without any irony. Isbell is known for his great singing ability, but it was his guitar solo in "Dead or Alive" that really stood out and gave the song an epic Eighties vibe.
Jon Bon Jovi was honored as the MusiCares Person of the Year, joining previous recipients such as Joni Mitchell, Lionel Richie, Dolly Parton, and Bruce Springsteen. Despite the recent passing of his mother, Springsteen, another iconic figure from New Jersey, was also in attendance. Both artists took the stage together to perform Bon Jovi's country hit "Who Says You Can't Go Home" and Springsteen's "The Promised Land."
Currently popular on social media platforms is news of Trump supporting a campaign by truckers to stop deliveries to NYC in protest of a fraud ruling. Trump believes that his perceived mistreatment will result in the U.S. becoming a third world country. Actress Kristen Stewart expressed her desire to participate in a very homosexual act in an uncensored interview. Some conservative individuals are fearful of the magazine cover featuring Stewart. During his speech, Bon Jovi expressed gratitude towards Bruce Springsteen, who had recently lost his mother but still made it to the event to support him.
Isbell has been nominated for three awards at the upcoming Grammys on Sunday night. He is in the running for Best Americana Performance, Best American Roots Song, and Best Americana Album for his most recent album, Weathervanes.
