Kane Brown, a popular country artist, has always been dedicated to helping underprivileged children. He has shown his support for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and other programs that aim to provide opportunities for youth who are at risk or underserved.
Currently, the country music industry is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their long-time dedication to supporting children and focusing on other charitable activities.
Brown has been selected as the winner of the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given annually to artists who prioritize giving back in their work.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, an event happening on Feb. 29 in Nashville as a part of this year's Country Radio Seminar.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America strive to offer a sense of belonging and support to children from all backgrounds, particularly those facing economic challenges. Brown, who experienced homelessness, racism, and abuse during his childhood, expressed a desire for the type of safe and welcoming environment that the organization aims to create for young people.
Aside from donating money, such as funding the refurbishment of a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also personally given children opportunities. He gave tickets and backstage access to 16 children and 4 adults from a local organization, including a meal, while sharing his own story with them. Additionally, he has helped revitalize a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer has been recognized for his efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America in the past. In 2022, he was awarded the title of "Champion of Youth" by the organization.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and several others. Tracy Lawrence was the winner of the award last year.
