Kane Brown: A Heartfelt Journey of Giving Back to Underprivileged Kids

  • by

Kane Brown has been recognized with a significant award for his dedication to supporting underprivileged children through organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Since the beginning of his career in country music, Brown has shown a strong commitment to helping at-risk youth access opportunities for success.

Currently, the country music industry is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their long-standing dedication to supporting children and prioritizing charitable endeavors.

Brown has been selected for the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given to artists who prioritize giving back to the community as a significant aspect of their professional endeavors.

He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, an event occurring on February 29th in Nashville as a part of this year's Country Radio Seminar.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of America strives to offer a supportive environment and opportunities to children from all backgrounds, particularly those facing socioeconomic challenges. Brown, who went through homelessness, racism, and abuse during his childhood, expressed that he wishes he had access to a safe space like the one the organization aims to create for young people.

Aside from donating money, such as funding the refurbishment of a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also given children opportunities personally. He gave tickets and backstage passes to 16 children and 4 adults from a local chapter, treating them to dinner while sharing his own story. Additionally, he has been involved in rebuilding a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The country singer's efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been recognized in the past. In 2022, he was honored as the organization's "Champion of Youth" for his contributions.

In the past, recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award have included Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and several others. Tracy Lawrence was the winner of this award last year.
