Kane Brown Honored for Heartfelt Commitment to Helping Underprivileged Kids

  • by

Kane Brown has been recognized with a significant award for his dedication to supporting underprivileged children. Since the beginning of his career in country music, Brown has been a strong advocate for organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America that help provide opportunities for at-risk youth.

Currently, the country music radio industry is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their ongoing dedication to supporting children and focusing on other charitable endeavors.

Brown was chosen as the winner of the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given out each year to recognize artists who prioritize giving back to their communities as an important aspect of their work.

He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, which is happening on February 29 in Nashville as a part of the Country Radio Seminar for this year.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to offer children from all backgrounds, particularly those facing socioeconomic challenges, a chance for success and a supportive environment. Brown, who faced homelessness, racism, and abuse during his childhood, expressed his desire for the type of safe space that the organization strives to create for young people.

Aside from donating money, such as funding the renovation of a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also personally created chances for children. He gave tickets and backstage passes to 16 kids and 4 adults from a local chapter, including dinner, while sharing his own story with the group. Additionally, he has put effort into restoring a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The country singer's efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been recognized in the past. In 2022, he was honored as the organization's "Champion of Youth" for his work.

Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award have included Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill, among others. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award last year.
