Kane Brown has consistently shown his support for underprivileged children by being involved in organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. This dedication to helping at-risk youth has recently been recognized with a major award.
The country radio industry is now recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their long-standing dedication to assisting children and placing importance on philanthropic work.
Brown has been selected as the winner of the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given out every year to recognize artists who prioritize giving back to their community as a significant aspect of their careers.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, an event happening on February 29th in Nashville as a part of this year's Country Radio Seminar.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aim to offer a supportive environment and opportunities for children from all backgrounds, particularly those facing socioeconomic challenges. Brown, who experienced homelessness, racism, and abuse in his own childhood, has expressed a desire for all children to have access to the safe haven that the organization strives to create.
Aside from giving money to support causes, such as sponsoring the renovation of a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has personally given kids opportunities. He gave tickets and backstage passes to 16 children and 4 adults from a local organization, treating them to dinner while sharing his own experiences with them. Additionally, he has put effort into reviving a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer's efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been recognized in the past. In 2022, he was honored as the organization's "Champion of Youth" for that year.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and various others. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award last year.
